Preparation strategies and tricks for Bihar PSC Examination!

 Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) Provincial Civil Service (PCS) Examination is a public service examination just like UPSC Civil Service Examination to recruit gazetted officers under the Bihar Government.

Points to keep in mind before starting preparations:

  • Before going for a book, list according to the syllabus, go for the daily newspaper instead. It will enhance your knowledge and arouse interest in further studies. I would suggest you start with “The Hindu”. 

  • Be true to yourself.  We all are aware of our weaknesses and strengths. Just accept them and keep working hard on your weakness and improve your strength.


Some important tips:

  • Develop reading habits. Try to understand the application & usage of grammatical rules and improve your vocabulary.

  • Do not change the books while preparing for the examination.

  • Keep Maps of Bihar, India and the World along with you and refer to them when needed.

  •  Try to utilize your time more efficiently and keep yourself away from distractions like T.V. and Mobile phones.

The Second Rule is to Work smart


You must create a proper and realistic timetable so that there should be separate time slots for the different sections according to your weak and strong sections/topics. Refer to the previous year's papers as they keep you in sync with the trend of the examination. This will help you in the revision of the hot topics related to the exam and you will get an idea about the weightage of the sections in the actual examination.
